How do I backup save files?
I'm reading a lot of threads about people losing the save files and I'm kidna scared, how can I back them up?

No one is losing their save files. They aren't becoming corrupt. Backing up is never a -bad- idea but I wouldn't worry if I were you. Some people with specialized versions of windows are missing specific codecs called out by the game. Once these codecs are added correctly, their saves start working again without an issue.
That is my understanding as well. It's never a bad idea to have backups either way, I make one whenever I think about it, but I'm not really worried either.

back it up

Navigate to your Steam folder
Usually Program Files (x86) > Steam
Then go to userdata / YOURUSERID / 582010 / remote

Copy the SAVEDATA file to a place of your choosing. Simply overwrite the one here with the one you copied if you ever have a corrupted save or something.

Apparently there are scripts who could do this process automatically everytime you close the game or something, but I haven't tried any myself, feel free to Google it.

Use this tool to do it for you automatically, you just have to tell it where your saves are, everything else is automatic - https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/973xjq/i_wrote_a_script_to_automatically_backup_monster/

Im sure it aint just about deco sniping but yeah 582010, remember that quests skip in pattern of 1 1 2 and you should write the results to see where you are in queue.

That's a relief, I'll make a backup every now and then just in case, now that I know how to do it. Thanks people
