Any pro tips to farm "Majestic Horns" from Diablo HR?

Break both horns then pray.
A friend of mine actually said that he got the horns to drop 100% by leaving the quest after breaking them but I can't tell if it's extreme luck or an actual thing.

Apparently the fastest way is to break his horns and leave quest.
You will either get twisted or majestic horns as you don't need to complete a quest for them to drop.

you can get majestic horn as reward for investigations.

You can maybe get 2 of them per hunt if you do an investigation with a gold reward slot I've found. The diablos in "The White Winds of the New World" quest is pretty weakened since it shares the space with Legiana, Odogaron, and Rathalos. You can easily kill that one and simultaneously get stuff from the other three.

Aside from the obvious break the horns each hunt of course. Using a shielded weapon can simplify the hunt massively. Taking a quest with 2 diablos or a diablos and black diablos can help -several weapon trees that need diablos parts can be upgraded further with b.diablos stuff so you kill two birds with one stone. Plus that turf war is extra damage and attack oppurtunities.

Bring a hammer, break the horns, leave the quest. Repeat until you have your horns.

i just beat the crap out of her with a hammer. works pretty good tbh.

edit- i will say tho, initially its super tough to take down both easymode diablos and HR diablos/black diablos, im not trying to make light of the situation. would join you if you need a hand.

Trap the Diablos at the beginning of the hunt and use 2 Mega barrel bombs on the head, give a few hits to break it, then return to HQ (Don't abandon). It should take only a few minutes, I used that to get Black Diablos horns.

Break the horns.

If you're having trouble breaking them, then make the diablos sleep (use radobaan weapons for you and your palico or sleep ammo), plant bombs near the horns, and blow it up using explosives.

If it works it works on every HR Diablos quest.

What I did was bring 2 mega barrel bombs, 2 large barrel bombs, and 2 Devil's Blight Mushrooms, along with a shock and pitfall trap and maybe the components to make those traps. Maybe a few Dung Pods just in case if Black Diablos gets in the way.

Head to the northeast camp located near the Grimalkyns and drop on down, Diablos is usually found in the underground sand area or the adjacent chamber where he goes to sleep. Use the trap to immobilize him, place the barrels against his head and pop it to break a horn. Run away and craft the other 2 mega barrel bombs and use the other trap to break the other horn. Then go to the menu and select the leave quest option (do not select Abandon Quest). You'll get horns!

If he burrows underground, don't stand on your trap as he'll just break it. Bait him away from the trap until he's out. If he breaks the trap, well, that's why you bring some extra trap tools and thunderbugs/nets. Its pretty easy to do, though sometimes Black Diablos will be around to cause problems.

Bring a heavy bow gun with wyvern snipe. Set up affinity booster+buff your damage. Shoot from the back out the front and watch the explosions as both horns pop right off (Assuming you aim true.) If the 2nd horn doesn't break (Sometimes happens, first always breaks.) use piercing shot or sticky shot to finish the job. Enjoy the horn! Takes around 3-4 mins.
