The default messages don't translate over to other languages

This is the first time in my life I've seen something so amateurish implemented.
Normally when any multiplayer game has default messages for things and you send them, it gets translated to other players for their idiom. Not the case in this game, when Asians join I see their hieroglyphs in chat whenever they get stunned or mount.

This is some supreme voodoo game designing that baffles even me. 10/10 would buy again.

That's because they are just text and you can edit them yourself.

There is no set default, as you can customise them all. So there is no way for Capcom to add an autotranslate.

And for reference tell me which other games that let you customise those messages do an autotranslate? Or name a game that autotranslate and let you customise these texts completely?

I giggle with some things my friends changed it to, as they did make it pretty clear they don't like it if you mount the monster. So in counter I changed mine to "Yippy Ya Yeh cowboy!".

Well, we are the 1st country (in Europe If I'm correct) in term of importation of "Japanese culture" (Manga, food etc..). I would be curious to see the localized Market share of MH in Europe. But Im' confident the French one is a big one.

they have a list of all default messages tho, a simple query to check if it's a default and displaying it in the clients language shouldn't be a problem. i think it's unnecessary tho and would be just a waste of resources during combat.
