Just like armors, the weapons themselves are situational at best if you're facing particular opponents. Its not wrong to make a weapon specific to battle a certain monster.
cause iron version have Nergigante weapons.
Bone weapons nice for elemental damage and often have 1 weapon with the best raw damage and -30% affinity.
edit: don´t hesitate to try out... build what you think is good.. try it out and learn it. That is the best way to play because you will adjust your understanding of the game and the equipment by yourself and not by someone telling you what to do. You can always craft something else.
