Seriously though. Did you not once think of trying to use the box? You actually thought the quest was bugged rather than just take a moment to try clicking on a few things in camp to see what worked?

Please. Every new player I've talked to figured it out easily enough. They bring the egg back, and try to give it to the handler. No. Put it in the tent? No. Put it in the box? Done.

I mean people need to actually TRY to figure some stuff out before thinking a quest is bugged. You can't be carried around by the hand all the time.

Sorry, but the kind of player who can't take 5 seconds to figure out simple game mechanics is the kind of player who shows up in multiplayer and triple carts because they haven't bothered learning to play the game and ruin things for everyone else.
