Ok, so I can see in investigations 'all' there is all there kill vespoids '5' of them

I keep killing them, and it doesnt finish. I just get - investigation added. Now i have lots of vespoid ones happening.

Investigations are basically RNG quests to keep you going.
You go to the provisions trio to check-mark investigations to show up on your mission board. You can sort them by multiple ways. You'll find out quick that the 'trash mobs' will spam you with tons. You get 250 slots to bank investigations and unfortunately you can't bulk delete them.

If you have too much clutter you can just sort by vespoid, then just hit space then enter.

The trash mob ones are only good in the start/early game for a quick pinch of cash. They're good if you don't have the perfect combo to not destroy their bodies on kill. You can repeat investigations multiple times. Just take note that signing up for the quest takes off one attempt.

Yeh now I got it.
How do you cancel them? So it doesnt overflow like that because I have 20 vespoid quests or so

you need to take them like actual quests. Just do the quests under investigations .
Investigations can be done multiple times. The number next to their name indicates how many more times you can do it. If you keep doing vespoid investigations, you'll get more investigations then you can complete, so ignore them if you have all vespoid materials you want.

You don't have to worry about canceling them, they will disappear after you hit the investigation limit.

Just untick them to cancel. Old ones will get overwitten by new ones. Tick the ones you want to do.

There is like 10 rows of 5 x slay 20 vespoids.
Ok cool
So can I kill like 100 vespoids in one sitting if I have say 5 vespoid quests to kill 20 each time?

Nope, they're just like a normal hunt.

kk, from what I can gather I just tie them in dependant on the area I am hunting in.

This is so interesting.
I got a bone I needed to upgrade my weapon from an investigation, so that was interesting.

Why cant I see what i need to upgrade my weapon as it has a ??
Does that mean I havent discovered that thing yet that i need ?

you can actually get 1000 times the same investigation but the rewards you can earn is different for each investigation you can actually get up to 5 rewards for a quest normal quests have a bronze silver gold reward system you rlly do want to keep one of each normal high rank monster with like silver and gold rewards to get some rare parts if needed and toss everything else to make space for the tempered quests that come after rank 13 , 30 and 50
that are the stages for the tempered 1 tempered 2 and tempered 3 rewards where you farm your decorations and streamstones for your armor and weapons
also streamstones are pretty rare and there to augment your weapons also to release the armor cap from the armor to rack up thoose numbers ;)
