My Friends Cant See What I Am Playing.
I didnt go offline mode, but my friend cant see what im playing. They can see my status when im playing other game, but only mhw they cant see.
Idk is this the reason, I cant join any session, even my friend invites me but still cant join.
I have tried to use my friend's laptop to test(he doesnt have the problem), but still have the problem. So I think its my account's/setting problem.
I've sent several emails to steam but no reply.
Can anyone help me plz?

one of the old fixes for the connection issues was to run a steam shortcut with the launch arguments -nofriendsui -tcp or -upd

its possible for some people still using these it may not work properly anymore and should not be run anymore. if your not currently using them, try it.

My friend had the same problem as well, so we had tried to discover the solution. Finally we fixed it.
We bought the game from Hong Kong Razer Cortex, which is suggested by Razer to buy it from there with discount. However, we are currently in UK, so we guess there is a region lock(sound stupid for this game tho). We tried to use VPN and the problem is solved. So I guess my assumption is true.
In case you have the same situation, or you bought the game from other website, maybe you should refund the game and buy it from Steam.
Not 100% sure but it works for me. Hope it is helpful to you.

I thought this was a joke because theres a big with big picture where it shows that my friends are playing every 5 minutes on my HUD.

Not sure did I understand it correctly. You mean the steam notification of what your friend is playing?
If yes, If your big picture pops up when you are using controller, just go to steam setting -> In-Game -> uncheck the box "Use the Big Picture...", then you will see the original game notification in stead.
Btw, someone told me that is because the game keep connecting/communicating with the steam sever, so you will see that notification every few minutes. The solution for now is just set your online status to Do Not Disturb.

Me and my firends all had this problem. I determined it was fromteh new friends ui being borked again. The disable freinds ui might help, but I went with the simpler solution of enabling the big pciture overlay (which doesn't have the new freidns ui integrated yet) and that fixed the problem. I us a controller anyway, so for me this is fine.

No it's a common glitch for most of my friends on big picture and on regular window. I'll be playing rocket league and get the notifications every match.

this might sound silly but...have you all updated the game?

I know not everyone has auto updates on and doesn't play everyday

Buuuuut

I say this cause if you don't update you can't play with people from different versions

Yes ofc. We had checked everything we cound do. Actually quite a lot of player have this problem, but not sure is all of them but the game from other website. If yes then the problem can be easily fixed. Hopefully.

What fixed that for me wqas changing my steam privacy settings. There's an option in your profile that lets you hide the game you're currently playing. With that enabled my freind couldn't react to invite by me and didn't see me playing even through the friends list. After changing it to public he was able to see me again.
