imo, Dragon Piercer is only used for big openings from heat to tail.
Spreadshot deals great consistent damage.
I use Nergigante body myself.
My personal experience constitution lv3 will do but require pay more attention on stamina, better to have lv4 and stamina surge lv2 if you don't plan spam dash juice every few mins.
Helmet: Rathlos Beta
Chest: Rathlos Beta
Gloves: Teostra Beta
Waist: Nergigate Beta
Boots: Lavasloith Beta/Black Diablos Beta
Charm: Fitness
It gives:
4 Attack Up
3 Weakness Exploit
3 Fitness
1 Spread Up/Normal Up
Along with plenty of slots to gem in each element and things like Mighty Bow, Ballistics, and Normal/Spread up when you get the decorations. But as Arthur says you'll eventually want to look into swapping pieces out or making completely different sets for specific monsters.
Rath soul B
Rath B
Teo arms B
Kushala/damascus (damascus has the slots to get lightning attack 3, kushala can get ice attack 4).
Lavasioth Greaves.
Constitution charm
Bow really needs them good rare 8 jewels though. Still, WE+3, CB+1, Spread up, crit element. Ideally you'd gem on mighty bow on the legs and then perhaps normal up on the gloves.
If there was a way right now where I can just keep farming decorations that I need, I'd be doing that non stop until I get the decorations that I want,
But from what I read, I won't be getting that for awhile and it includes tempered versions which I'm guessing I'll have to renew my build to be able to solo them properly (I think?).
As of right now, I'm looking for a build that's better or even slightly better than the one I have to make the upcoming monsters a bit easier (and hopefully tempered versions too).
My main bows atm are the kadachi and legianna bows (which is fine atm sinc emost monsters are weak to thunder and ice atm). I also have the nergigante (for val hazaak maybe?) and diablo bows but they're not at their maximum end upgrade since i haven't fought the monster that I need the mats from.
Thanks! I'll check this build out! I either have the gear or have most of the mats on these already!
Thanks! I was watching solo bow vidoes on val hazaak and looks like he's almost the same as Teostra, which isn't bad. I was just worried about that health down effect that his attack has.
And it's great to know that the tempered versions doesn't sound that bad. I was thinking
Tempered Versions = Apex Versions (not that bad right? hehe)
Thanks! for some reason I missed this post. It's almost the same as the build that I was going to try (cept for the waist but I'll make both waists for sure).
When I'm finally able to farm the decorations that I want, I'll start making specific sets for specific monsters. I've always liked farming new sets for different builds.
You should have at least one Miasma decoration, 8 nulberrys on you (There's two on the way to his place), pots, Vigorwasps actually helps on this one because your palico will come to you. He shouldnt do much damaga unless you're standing in his way or get hit by his two blasts, one of them is an uproar on the ground blast, move out of that range. Just keep at his sides (preferable left side, and not to close) and not to close.
Its something you cant regalairy do with Teostra, as Teostra will have multiple AOEs, Cone and circle.
I think my setup was a peace of nergi, Ingots, and dragon eye patch. I used fair wind charm (Protection decoration) as a melee, because I was always under his legs. But I assume the fair wind charm can save you for taking heavy damage if hes charging and leaving effluvium behind.
Also at earlier post, it is not always good to just go for beta, it usually alows for more costumisation but you can use the alpha's double skills in that place too. Wouldnt make to much of a difference
