How hard capcom nerfed slicing ammo?

I'm not using SA as my primary bullet but as it's description says i only do use them when i need to sever tails, anyway 60+ shots on the sweet spot (orange damage) seems "A BIT" too much and not worth the waste of time when i could easily complete two investigaysh instead of one tail.
So, what the ♥♥♥♥ happened to SA^?

It doesn't take 60+ shots... If it takes you that many shots, you're not hitting the right spot. I took nergigante's tail off in around 20-25 shots by my self with 4 people. If I am solo, the slicing ammo breaks or severs much faster, around 5-10 shots.(Not nerg)

They have nerfed slicing alot cause of the abuse in first version of MH.

slices ammos have been nerfed while also getting a buff by not sending your mates away.

but honestly, instead of having 15-16 damages per ticks, it just go down to 12-13
