For fresh HR, whats a good lance?

Atm I'm using the pukei-pukei rank 5 lance, good dmg and 420 poison. Whats some other good lances that you can craft at the start of HR?

Would suggest getting a lightning lance. Many monster types are weak to lightning and you should be able to upgrade it reasonably high just off of hunting Tobi and LR Kirin. A water, and fire lance is also something you might want to look into making for similar reasons. Paralysis is a good 4th option for when you want to play with other people. The poison lance will still have its uses as it means you can keep inflicting a poison status just from counterpokes, so best to just make a variety and upgrade the poison one as you go.

Yeah but the paralysis lance needs one of those armor skills to unlock :( Yeah the lightning lance seems like a good idea.

For early HR get an elemental damage weapon ( fire, ice or lightning ) and craft a level 2 elemental attack charm to boost your damage. Don't skip out on armor, at this stage it's probably more important than your weapon.

for low hr, I suggest chrome lance or bone lance coz they're ez to build
for high hr, odogaron lance (Garon Dhara)is the best. +30% affinity, highest sharpness. and can augment twice..

personally I made the kirin lance (so cool!) and the legiana lance. Ice and thunder are the two elements that will give you the most coverage.
