Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter World broke my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller, and my little brothers.
So I was playing the game with a buddy of mine, and I reach over to grab a cup of water. I accidentally bump my Windows key, which makes the game basically alt tab out and open up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Windows 10 start bar. Oh well, I'll just click back in-.

The game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashes, and gives me THIS Error.

Error: 0

That's it. That is all it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gives me. Google. Nothing. Steam threads. Nothing. I come up with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Whatever, I'll restart it. I restart it. I can no longer connect to any of my friend's sessions, and he can't connect to mine at all. I can join public servers, but I have yet to be able to actually 'play' with anyone else. Reset my PC, nothing changes. Reset the game multiple times, nothing changes.

Each time I boot the game, it is fine, apart from the error message.

Then my controller starts acting funny. When I get to the start menu, it constantly scrolls down as if I was holding down on the D-Pad. Unplug, plug it back in. Doesn't work. Trouble shoot it. Nothing. Reset my computer, nothing.

Okay, I'll try it in something else. So I open Steam Big Picture mode. It's doing the same thing there too. None of the buttons work but L3 and R3, and it's constantly scrolling down. So it's NOT Monster Hunter. Here, I'll try another Xbox1 controller I have around. Plug it in, open Monster Hunter.

Same thing again. Constantly scrolling, unable to press anything else. Go to big picture again.

Constantly scrolling, unable to press anything else. My controller is basically bricked, and I owe my little a brand new one. How the ♥♥♥♥ is this acceptable? I can't even get a refund, because I played like 10 hours of this game. What the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to do? Ask questions, and I shall answer.

haha owned
its not monster hunter world. its steams beta version. go to your steam settings and disable steam public beta. do research before posting. thats what broke your controller. error code zero is from you not having the update installed, or the capcom took down the servers to apply the update.

error 0 is generally a catchall error, for when something unexpected happens, so you generally won't find results for it.

you can ask for a refund if your playtime is over 2 hours under the conidtions that something has changed that makes you unable to play, while you can entirely use KBM just fine, you might be able to make the argument for a refund.

i cannot help you actually fix the issue cause like i said, 0 is a catchall.

This is not MHW this is a STEAM BIG PICTURE ISSUE or controller Driver Issue

Crashes from alt-tabbing isn't uncommon, just be careful next time.

The servers are garbage right now, I've sunk 15 hours into the game and yet to play with a friend due to it constantly disconnecting (despite having a good internet service).

Reinstall your controller drivers or replace the batteries.

"My little brothers" or "My little brother's"

Because don't break your little brothers over a game, dude. They're people too.

The controller thing happened to me as soon as Steam updated. I fixed it by *opting out of Steam Beta.* I heard it has only happened in MHW so it could be MHW's fault.
