No controller support, and game doesn't run full screen

Which controller? PS4 and especially XBox work just fine, though, like in many games, if you use a ps4 controller the xbox button layout is shown.

Game is not working with my wireless xbox one controller. First game to not work. Also won't run in full screen on a GTX 980 TI even if I press alt enter.

Sounds like user error considering iv used the xb1, ps4, and steam controllers on here no problem. And i play in fullscreen exclusively soooo yaaaa

Using a wireless Xbox one controller, works perfectly. Fullscreen works perfectly for me. You're doing something seriously wrong.

This is the first I've heard of this. I would personally plug a cord into your controller to see if that helps. If not, then maybe uninstall/reinstall the game? I've had similar issues with a few other games, and doing that helped, so maybe give it a shot.

I have never had a problem with any game on this controller since this one

May sound silly, but have you tried turning it off and on again? Sometimes, for god knows why, MHW wont pick up my controller. But if I restart the PC it fixes the issue.

i'm using the wireless adapter for an xbox one controller and i've also used it wired with a usb. idk what to tell you.

Nope, didn't help. Game starts off in bordered mode despite being set to full screen; controller does not work.

Just remembered some people reported issues with some third party programs preventing the controlers from working in this game. It was FRAPS for some people, probably anything with an overlay. Try to close any unnecessary programs. Never dealt with that issue myself but yeah might be it. For fullscreen dunno.

I have a 980 First Gen and PS4 controller, no issue like this even around for me. Something tells me your settings are messed up.

I play with a wireless xbox one controller, and fullscreen with no issues, try fiddling with the big picture controller config, and see if that fixes your issue. GL
