Is the supply box a 'second' pouch?

During Expeditions I easily run out of space in my Pouch, but I never used the supply box (so far). I'm just wondering if the items I would put in the Supply Box (to create space in my Pouch and go back on my adventure and my looting of materials, etc) would be part of the things I gathered at the end when I decide to go back to Astera, or will that stuff (in the supply box) be "lost" if I don't put it back in my Pouch?

Supply box is for supplies that you can take during missions. Go into the tent in camp and you can access your Item Box to store items.

Wow I never noticed we could enter those tents in camps, lol.
