Modding Allowed?
Hey, I kinda wanna make my handler a dogogama and talk to her that way in my base.

does the game support modding? so far i've seen transmog mods and mods that give you unlimited items etc.

Is this allowed? is this bannable? considering its a single player game with multiplayer elements similar to dark souls, i would assume it doesnt ban you for such modding as long as you dont go online and spawn 10,000 explosive barrels.

id like to have a character dedicated to testing in the game, other for online play.

Im asking so i dont end up banning myself from multiplayer by doing something offline.

mods are normally client side, don't do stupid shet that leave a record on the server like ladder rankings and it should be fine.

yeah i dont agree with those types of players, they can one shot monsters if they like but as long as they dont do it co-op. kinda takes the fun out of the game
Been running some QoL mods and some cosmetic ones for a few days now, been fine. There's people doing worse ♥♥♥♥ like leader board hacks and whatnot so maybe Capcom will crack down on that, client side mods though? I doubt it, too much work going after everyone.

yeah i kinda want a menu mod aswell, its super clunky on PC.

Yep, the mods you can find on the nexus are fine.

i use Special-k and reshaders, it's a client side save game... so untill you don't do harm to other hunters i believe it's OK

i would not make the assumption that mods are safe to use until capcom says that they are

id imagine all the people using mods will be quite pissed once they are banned without warning

They are absolutely allowed. If you use mods to give yourself a huge advantage and cheat leaderboards/♥♥♥♥ up other people's experience, you might get online banned (MIGHT), but if you're just modding stuff for fun you'll be fine.

i assumed so aswell. considering in dark souls its kind of a grey ground. like you can mod and do whatever you like with friends not ruining other peoples experience

So far from what i can tell client side texture mods are safe. Like changing the in game button prompts. However expect some mods to break with updates.
