Do I need to manually delete investigations?
Im at 250/250 now. Do I need to go through the list and manually delete them or will they just auto-delete one of the lowest rank ones? I was trying to delete some myself but it always switches back to the first page after I sort by rank and go to the last to page to delete the lowest rank ones.

No, they auto delete from the oldest one (Not the lowest rank one)

Theres a number at the left side of each investigation that tells you the order it will delete in, it will delete 250 first

It auto-deletes from the oldest. I would never worry about manually deleting them, just register the ones you might do.

It won't switch back to the first page if you don't sort for some reason.
Some people say new investigation overwrite old ones, others say once the list is full no new ones get added.
Do you get new investigations?

No, it will remove them from the last page as it adds new ones.

You can always get lower ranked investigations from doing things in the area where that monster spawns, or going into expedition mode and grabbing a few tracks or broken off parts of that monster. Basically, only save the ones that have high money rewards, or which you actually intend to farm later.

nope. you don't need to delete.

Keep in mind that any investigations you register won't be deleted by getting new ones, so if you have 250 (or close to) you might as well register the ones you don't want to lose.
