It doesn't work at all

Basically the game is receiving your mic the whole time and when the volume from your mic exceeds a certain threshold it gets transmitted. It's the same as Open Mic in dota 2.

It doesnt work at all though

It works but it's hyper quiet for some reason.

im sure about 95% of the players have it turned off... which would be why it dosnt work for people. Cause no one wants to listen to an open mic... dont really understand why developers think people want to hear every thing happening at someone elses house.

Because the second a multiplayer game does NOT have a mic option, people will gripe that it lacks a mic option.

Well push to talk in the mid of a fight is a bit difficult if you are using a controller (looking at the console version atleast). Keyboard controls are already hard enough no time nor the motivation to press and hold an additional button only to speak to people who have it turned off anyways.

how tf am i supposed to communicate with players then? Can i bind a button to open the chat box? Can people in my hunt see what i say in the chat box at all times from any distance?
Raine Aug 19, 2018 @ 3:11pm
press start then select, to start typing. anyone in the hunt from any distance can see it, you can select custom quick chats to say things you say often too.

I have everyone else musted including myself because there's no push to talk/mute option. I'd just use spacebar to talk if the option was there

Press the INS key above your Delete key to open the chat window. :2017stickydrink:

Just disable it and use Discord, since you can't use Steam groups because the game's networking is only reliable when disabling the new Steam Chat.

I tried a mic for a day or two. Out of at least a dozen, maybe more, hunts I found someone else with a mic twice. Both times their voice was so soft I only noticed they were talking at all when there weren't any creatures/monsters around that made noise. So yea, understandable that no one uses it.

Capcom isnt typically a PC game developer. So something like open mic and push to talk mean nothing to them. Since controllers dont have enough buttons on them to have a push to talk feature.
Voice chat on console sounded awful anyways. Just find groups, add them on Discord/Steam. Voice chat there.
