Dual Blades build, help!

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out a decent dual blades build with the current items ingame. I've been trying to research for builds but everything that comes up are builds that we currently don't have access to until they release more content.

What could be a good high DPS build, something that is decent for everything so that I can farm tempered monsters.

I've found so far:

Strategist (glasses) + Odogaron coil for increased affinity
For weapons if I'm not mistaken best one currently is Diablos Clubs II , correct me if I'm wrong.

What would you build from this?

if your going up against something weak to ice, use the Fire and ice DBs, imo a lot more potent than the nergi DBs.

I see, thank you. I'll make sure to build at least a couple of dual blades to have a bit more of variety. I happen to craft the nergi DBs so I'll use them for now but I'll get fire and ice + diablos ones for sure.

when i saw them ice and blast 240 ... i was like dam they are op ... until someone told me blast one get triggered by the red one and ice by the blue one ...

Fire and Ice is very weak. People think that just because they show 240 Blast and Ice that they are better than weapons that are solely Blast or Ice, but they aren't. Only 1 blade is blast, 1 blade is ice, you only ever hit with 1 weapon except for special moves like Demon Dance where you start the animation with hitting the monster with both blades, but other than that you hit with 1 weapon at a time. Since you are hitting with either blast, or ice, at any given time the 240 element shown in the info panel is cut in half, 120 blast, 120 ice. The only reason to use them are for monsters that are 3 star weak to both ice and blast at the sametime. If not, that weapon isn't worth using at all.

So they have a niche use? Hmm well it doesnt hurt to make them anyways just to shred certain monsters

Super weak set, made popular by Arekkz on youtube, really only good for completing HR story.

iam using fire and ice with kushala b helmet uragaan a chest alpha, teostra a gloves and b coil, dober boots or death boots for more sharpness charm ep against the weak monster because roar is annoying, atck or sharpness.

you can also change chest for dober but it often happens than that monster die before the important parts were broken

one more ice deco, one more for explosion dmg, rest for atck or expert

Basically just use Decimation claws. Rath Soul B helm, Rathalos B chest, Nergigante A gloves, Nergigante B coil, Dober B greaves, Challenger charm.

You'll have Attack boost 6, if you use the Attack boost deco you get for completing the game, Agitator 4 which is 16 attack and 12% affinity,
Weakness exploit 2 which is 30% affinity,
Critical boost 1 which increases crit damage from 25% to 30%
Critical element which increases damage dealt by Elements

Decorations are up to you, could put Dragon attack, Attack, Tenderizer for 50% affinity on Weakness exploit, Speed sharpening if you want.

Swap Nergigante A gloves for Kaiser B if you want more Weakness Exploit and Critical boost right off the bat, instead of Agitator and Attack.
