Why do so many people consider Teostra harder than Nergigante?

I feel like Teostra is one of the easiest elder dragons in the game. I even struggle 10x more with Black Diablos, than I do with Teostra. Is it just me?

The only issues I have with Teo is that he seems to stun me a ton. But the actual fight is really easy, because if you nestle up next to his head the only attacks that can hit you are his charge and paw swipe, and it's a 50/50 as to whether he uses the right paw. So comparing this to Nerg, who doesn't really have a safe zone like Teo, he's harder for that reason alone.

everyone has their personal road blocks, some monsters are easier to plan for than others, nergi gave me 0 trouble once my armor was upgraded. gun lance or CB ftw on him. teo took time but learned that flash pods stop his nova and burn his mantle away if hes doing it.

my personal hate train is Kusha and Tempered Kirin. especially the arch temper versions...

Because when he charges up his chain blasts your fps goes from whatever to 1, but thank god the game freezes and you don't see yourself dead soon after.

I guess it's just a matter of knowledge. You don't REALLY need to kill Teostra to have fairly nice equipment, the majority (at least in weapons) is largely Nergigante and Xeno'Jiiva based. So I guess Teostra gets ignored the most, thus is considered a pain since people only remember their initial struggle against him without knowing his moveset. I guess.

Not to mention you fight him the first time in that horrible on your eyes lava arena that also requires cool drinks, whereas Nergigante gets a nice romp in a slidey slidey white crystal paradise...including two potential falling boulders to hit like 488-1000 damage on him too.

It's like everyone says Deviljho is easy, but that's because he released as a High Rank tier monster onto people who are busy using Tempered Elder Dragon gear, and slaughtered him effortlessly. Which is a shame, because he's pretty interesting mechanically, with his tremors and ability to wreck you from the comfort and security of a pit fall trap.

I just fought Teostra for the first time and defeated him on the first try. Nergigante is way more dangerous because of his dive attack.

no way, teostra is way easier and slower with his attacks, just pay attention to nova, nergi is a constant rolling and dodging especially in final phase when goes berserk. but now is gone and is part of my longblade :D

If they think that, i'd assume it's because teostra kills your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ framerate every time it moves.

Teostra starting his supernova when iam in melee range, even if i immediatly notice it its still a 50/50 chance i die while running away trying to get distance. Nergi has long windups on his instakill attack.

you use leap of faith (if you run away and dodge) you do the jump to the ground, if you time that you can dodge the supernova easy

Could even use flashpod

Again, learn to READ. Title is also an opinion. I don't see a poll where people chose the option for Teostra being harder than Negigante, or a statistic released by Capcom showing people having more difficulties with Teostra than Nergigante. It's just your opinion.

i have no problems with any elder dragon....HOWEVER.... kirin is a ♥♥♥♥♥ i hate it.

People who complain about lightning particles, I can't wait until they get to Teostra.

The only thing it murders is an FPS, which is not nice for GTX980Ti.
