It looks really cool tho.
Well like. It can be a good weapon if you aren't spamming just the aerial stuff (at least not until we get the behemoth set).
Weapon tiers only matter though if you're trying to get a legit speedkill time.
Not exactly hue hue amazing top tier pro strat balls to the walls gameplay, but the fact it is an option is funny enough.
Just a jape, just a jape. I used to scorn sharpness related stuff in favour of whetfish scales or weapons with large chunky blue sharpness bars, but I can understand why people love Handicraft after using it at Level 5 with certain weapons, namely Xeno'Jiiva ones. It's crazy good. Five hits of white sharpness became like what, fifty? Super good!
But yeah, if you're using an end of tree weapon against a mere Odogaron, you shouldn't be surprised that you're kicking his arse. The mobility of the IG helps considerably for countering Odo anyway. Incidentally, if you want to feel really powerful, go fight a LR Great Jagras and watch it drop in a single combo.
Stacking sharpness and affinity seems very much the way forward. Much as I love my Nergi weapons, they're never going to get that extra 10% damage. Currently I'm stacking white sharpness with an 81% affinity, which I should be able to push to 95% once I have some decent decorations.
A healing bug can help with keeping the team from having to use too many potions but shouldn't be relied upon to keep them healthy.
While a blast bug can help with overall dps as the blast dust also deals damage when activated and the blast that occurs from activation helps a bit.
In good hands the Insect Glaive can keep up but don't expect top dps.
