Nergigante set bonus not working?

It's been a while since I've played the PS4 version, but at the moment I'm rocking the Nergigante set bonus on PC and I'm not noticing the effect of his set bonus working. At least not with Greatsword. It's supposed to be similiar to the health regen effect from augmenting the weapon is it not?

I've not seen any health recovery from my attacks.

I think the Nergigante one is a little different, you need to get in multiple hits to get a heal, unlike the weapon one which heals every hit. Someone correct me if im wrong here though.

nope thats on the money. you get HP for successive hits, how much HP and how it calculates enough hits in a combo are a mystery to me however. Vaal hazak's skill is by far better overall with a healing augmented weapon, but i bet someone could find nergi more useful for certain weapon types.

The Nergi set healing is pretty trash, it takes roughly 10 hits to get a heal, and even then it's not much. The weapon augment has skewed your memory, don't worry though, ♥♥♥♥ happened to me too.

Kk thanks all, I figured something like this was going on. Probably still use nergi set for a bit as I can't be bothered to farm vaal hazzak to get some decent passive healing going. Just slogging through all the optionals and capturing one of each monster in both low and high rank, don't wanna deal with Vaal's nonsense atm.

Nergi has way better dmg if you get the monster enraged. The heal is more like a cherry on top of the cake.His set works pretty good with weapon that dont use stamina for attacks (like Longsword or Greatsword). He has 3 offensive effects on the alpha set and stamina surge if you need to roll to get fast back to max stamina for the maximal might bonus
