No rathian investigations?

Does anyone get this? I've killed him (her) tons and tons of times, it always says investigation added, but I just get none. The only one I don't.

Yes, I know how to get investigations, I just don't get them for HIM. Ever. Every single other one I have hundreds.

Uh, are you definitely not getting any and simply forgetting to 'equip' them? I was doing that the other day. I've had a few Rathians (though come to think of it, no where near enough considering how many Rathians I've hunted, so maybe they are rarer)

Yes, I get 100s, as I said, for ALL the monsters. I am always at the cap deleting 50 at a time.

Everytime I kill him I get the note saying investigation added, but nothing.

You can arrange them by target, I have a couple pages of them for everything, multiple times. I think the game is bugged somehow because I haven't had a single one from him since the start but all the others pop up just like clockwork when you deal with them and whatever. Everything is maxed out with him too.

I have 11 total Rathian quests, which is the same number as I've killed (though worth noting 3-4 of those quests were multi-target quests)

Only one of those quests was Low Rank. Guess they are rather rare.

Well I've killed him probably around 20 times.

Some I've killed once or twice and instantly get the investigations for them.

I feel like it's bugged, since I cleared out all the vespoids and they keep appearing everytime I kill him.

Okay, where does the conversation go from here? You think it's bugged, someone told you they have nearly a dozen. I have a few myself. If you feel your game is broken, do a bug report. And no, this isnt a bug report.

Otherwise, pull your pants up and go find more Rathian tracks. Telling us have no Rathian investigation will not make them appear. You could also try to brave multiplayer Rathian hunts.

For large monsters, the investigations you get are completely random. Only small creatures give their proper investigations for killing them (Which is why you keep getting vespoids).

The only non-random part, is if it's a tempered track/monster, then they will always give a tempered investigations for a random monster. Afraid it's just bad luck. :(

Your best bet is to just run around gathering tracks like crazy. Get a ton of investigations from them and then check again.

Like Maniac said, when you hunt a monster and get an investigation from it, there's no guarantee that the investigation you get will be for that specific monster.
