Ok so I hit High Rank, what now...?

They're having me track a ??? Rathian (which I know is a Pink Rathian heheh), but many guides are saying to go get Kulu armor and stuff like that. Is this basically just free-roam now? Go out and find monsters that you've already found and get the alpha-beta sets until you can eventually find and fight the Pink Rath? I'm a bit lost D:

just do as they tell you for now, do some quest and you'll find the rathian, it's not over don't worry.

find tracks in expeditions/optional quests, unlock pink rathian quest, kill her, continue. Unlocking high rank or beating the story doesn't mean game is over.

Theres still plenty to do

Comes down to Purple tracks that you'll find in areas, then doing the quests n such that go along with them.

If you haven't fully unlocked all the trees in the blacksmith weapon upgrade, then the story is not done.

This part of the story is basically free roam, yes, but once you finish this part it gives you more direction again.

There's still half a story left. But now monsters aren't on easy mode. They're stronger, faster and smarter. There's another bump later on too. You've finished the tutorial, not the game.

Low Rank armor is all garbage. So now, you're in the end game where you can start collecting and upgrading armor with good skills. So farm this, farm that, get tracks, see if you can kill it, then see if you can get further. Then kill some more stuff, upgrade, get a little further, etc. By the time you get to the Elder Dragons, you should be able to kill everything else. And mixing/matching gear for good skill combinations.

You think at Hight Rank is at end game? The whole story is a tutorial.
Anyway soon you will start to：

1: Fight tempered monsters.
2: Fight Tempered Elderdragons.
3: Collecting Jewels/ Crafting jewels
4: Collecting Dragon stones.
5: Weapn/Armor Augmentations.
6: Collecting coins from Arena

7: Running out of armor sphere.
8: Running out of armor sphere.
9: Running out of armor sphere.
10: Running out of Zenny.
11: Running out of Zenny.
12: Running out of Zenny.

Ok everyone I never implied High Rank was "endgame" I'm just lost as to what the heck is going on now. The game opened up all of a sudden and lost a lot of guiding structure (for example I was always looking at the quest log up until this point, but now the quest log no longer updates for new stuff and everything is handled via expedition) so I'm scratching my head wondering where to go next.

High rank optinioals, investigations, work for the farm. Lowrank afaik did not

Bascially it's a "explore HR and see that you need better armor so farm tracks till you unlock the quest and are actaully ready for it" type deal

Ah ok xD I guess I'll just keep hunting monsters for better gear for now and eventually I'll find the pink rath :(
