for me I bought it because my friends dont have ps4 version, they play on pc.
im at about 70 hours one week in on the PC.
PC is smoother, better FPS, sharper visuals (yes there is a texture bug, but even then), you get more control over settings, easier screenshots and I find the steam groups are better than squads. The load times are amazing. 6 seconds versus 60! No competition.
YMMV. But I expect to hit 250 hours again, but be much further along. Maybe even hit more hours than that.
Worth the money for me. But my CPU is decent 4770k, so the cpu complaints aren't an issue for me. I've got lots of buffer left. I haven't had a ton of d/c issues lately. Most games run fine with no issue.
But I acknowledge not everyone is in the same boat.
And I mean everything.
The PS4 version currently has better graphics (both texture resolution and reflections are bugged in the PC version).
The PS4 version currently has functioning co-op (a large percentage of the PC playerbase experiences constant disconnections when playing online, with a very tiny percentage of fanboys claiming there are no issues - despite Capcom acknowledging the issues).
The PS4 version currently has more content (the PC version will be playing catchup on all the added monsters and events slowly over time).
Both the PC and the PS4 version are best played with a controller (the mouse input is completely ass on the PC version. It emulates a joystick. Poorly).
Do you have infinite money? Do you hate yourself? Do you owe Capcom money and fear the repurcussions if you do not find a way to launder $60 to them?
Then you should get this game.
Otherwise you should not. PS4 owners (and everyone else) should not be purchasing this game until there are patches. Even then they should only purchase if all their friends play on PC (and the networking issues are patched) or if they drastically prefer playing with mouse and keyboard (and the terrible mouse controls are patched).
Otherwise, the PS4 is better in every way.
