Isn't White Fatalis explicitly stated to be a god that only emerges during solar eclipses?

IIRC his breathes fire so hot its ionized into plasma arcs. Gonna go with him
lore wise
white fatalis is the strongest elder dragon on MH game
but gameplay wise
yeah some people had different opinion who is the strongest in gameplay wise

Oh, ingame then. Are we counting Frontier, or no?

If so, Dhisufiroa would probably be my pick.
If only mainline games, I'd go with Alatreon or GQ Lvl 140 Teostra

Dire Miralis Obviously

Dhisu's probably got my favorite suite of themes.

lol, pretty sure thats because they did't discover Dalamadur or another godlike dragons yet. Fatalis isn't very big at all.
it's not about sizes fatalis did wreck the war between ancient civilization and Dragons
resulting ancient civilization extinct and some dragon species
and they are really capable to destroy the world if they want

White Fatalis and Alatreon

Yet, I have soloed w. Fatty with a wide gunlance, shelling non stop. That's sad. Alatreon is a bit more worthy of the title IMO.

Usually, you see White Fatalis getting thrown in there as being said as the strongest Elder and especially since we know that the Fatalis family line is quite powerful. Zora Magdaros I wouldn't really consider a threat and I feel like Dalamudur might beat it anyways because of its "snake speed" and dragon meteorites and breath. Alatreon I would admit is also up there in the top list since its more of an elemental dragon. But what about Valstrax aka Barufaruku or for some of u like to call it Valphalk or Valfalk lol. Anyway, the dragon has the agility that possibly surpasses most elder dragons movements. Not to mention that it goes into the atmosphere with comet speed (Mach speed to be specific) and comes down like comet literally. Imagine if it struck an Elder dragon with that immense power. Dragon energy plus the atmosphere all mixed together just to be brought down upon any creature it's up against. It would be pretty screwed if it went up against Nergigante for example, but I don't believe its enough to stop him since once again, it's agile. I mean its a VERY LONG OPINION but you get it. I believe Valstrax is in the top of the list of the most powerful elder dragons.

Considering Nergi is strong enough and smart enough to know how to hunt other elders that woul be a possible option.

then you got anything with world destruction capability.

then anything that can dismantle an entire civilization like Jhen moran or Lao Shan.

then you've got Fatalis, who simply makes a 90 degree turn and his tail nearly gibs you in G rank armor. and this thing can rain Fire, or Lightning from nowhere.

yeah Fatalis is definently still strongest.

fatalis would be the strongest lore wise with how stupid over the top its lore is for just an over sized kushula

on brute strength i would guess the dalamadur, especially with the ridiculous sizes of the ones that make up the rotten vale. add in that their meteors are still active long after their deaths (have odo smack the blue rocks in his nest) and we got ourselves a problem.

Shah Dalamadur - If it's seriously attacking at hunter he'd be really dangerous
If in game I think it's Shagaru Magala or Dire Milaris

Fatalis lorewise is the strongest, being able to end the world. Gameplay-wise, Zenith Bogabadorumu from Frontier is probs the hardest, but Raviente/Laviente takes the cake. In World, the Strongest Elder I'd say is Nergigante, due to it's diet being other elders, and the only elder dragon in Main series that actively hunters other elders.

isn't all elders suppose to being able to end the world?

Nope, Elder Dragons are classified by how much damage they can do to an ecosystem due to their power; using World Elders as an example, Kush causes massive hurricanes, teostra and lunastra can cause volcanic eruptions, vaal is the reason theres so much effluvium in the Vale, and Kirin can cause mass thunderstorms; Zorah causes entire ecosystems to go wacky, and Xeno, due to it's critical state, as well as it's ability to attract elders to it are devasting; Kulve Taroth is also extremely powerful, even after numerous hunters attacking it, it can still get away with just some broken horns;
World Destroyer Elders are essentially the toppest of the top baddies; Alatreon can change the climate of an area at will, changing it from massive heat waves to frigid blizzards effortlessly, Dire Miralis can regenerate it's body as long as it's heart is in one piece (the Miralis Switch Axe will eventually grow into a fully grown Miralis due to it needing a heart); Disufiora from Frontier is similar to Alatreon, being able to change the climate, however, it's climate changes are far more drastic, and it has significantly less control, most hunts ending with it killing itself; Merphistophelen from Online (this is debated canon) can absorb and harness all elements it's attacked with; Finally, Fatalis is extremely dangerous, because it not only can regenerate it's body (I think it's eyes are where it regenerates from, the Fatalis Great Sword will eventually grow back into a full fatalis), it's extremely smart; where the biggest Fatalis around wiped out the Ancients (a now extinct power race that ruled the World before the Guild was made), it was know to attack and melt hunters alive and stick them to it's body to mock the hunters; Crimson Fatalis is essentially Fatalis 2,0, how with massive heat attacks and far more aggression, and the White Fatalis can do that as well as create lightning out of nothing, and can possibly shift the moon (in 4U, the return of a white fatalis cause animals and monsters for miles to run away from the ruins of Schrade, and the sku turned purple and an eclipse occurred)
To note: monsters like Deviljho, Rajang and Bazelguese are NOT considered elders even though they do have traits of other elders (rajang eat kirin to gain electric powers, jhos hve been known to jump and attack elders out of hunger), they are closely related to weaker monsters; Jhos are brute wyverns and are related to anjanath and the gaans, bazels are related to flying wyverns like legiana and rathalos, rajang are part of what are called "fanged beasts", which are just really large mammals
