Rathian / Rathalos ...need help.

Whenever i try to poke Rathian with my Lance, the damn Rathalos show up to slap his big-d|ck-dong in my face.

you know?

In other words:
I can't fight rathian without rathalos showing up.
That in turn means, i am dead as soon as i get hit.

reasons:

1. I get instantly one-shottet

2. i survive the first hit but during the what feels like 3 minutes the character need to get up again i get killed by another attack.

Use a dung pod to scare Rathalos away. You can meld them pretty easily if you don't have Dung in your item box.

You need dung pods. Shoot them at the one you aren't fighting. They will leave the area.

I dont use but i think Dung pod is for exactly this you shoot poop in the rathalos face and he will leave the fight.

Cool, didn't know about the dung pods. I keep having Rathians show up in the nest to save Big Daddy when he's almost dead, and it's a pain in the ass to dodge them both.

I didn't take on the Rathian until I had Ajantha armor, btw....she wasn't one-shotting me with anything except, I think, her charge attack. That might help you out.

i am using 3 parts of rathian set, odogaron arm parts and the death-thingie headpiece (don't know what it is called in english. direct translation would be something like "deathsmell-brain".
and rathalos morph-axe.

yes, i know, not exactly super effective agains them, but i prefer to go with one setup and getting used to it instead of switching stuff for each and every mission.
