Shortcut Crafting...
If you have an item set in your item wheel and you run out of that item, the use item shortcut becomes the craft item shortcut. That's awesome! However, if there are multiple recipes to craft something, it doesn't seem to select the one that you have the components for. I even have the recipe I want to use set to auto-craft but it still insists on using the other recipe that I don't have the components for. The item in question is Mega Barrel Bomb. You can make it with a Large Barrel Bomb + Dragon Toadstool, but the combo it wants you to use is Great Gunpowderfish Scale and Large Barrel or something like that. What gives?

Turns out it takes the last recipe in the crafting list as the one to use. If you reorder your crafting menu so the Large Barrel Bomb + Dragon Toadstool recipe comes after all the others, then the use shortcut will craft bombs for you once you run out.

Best just set the crafting recipe you want as a hotkey anyway, so you can spam it even if you're not out of said item. It's really good with the 1-8 hotkey system, too. If you set a specific crafting recipe, it will ALWAYS and ONLY use that one, and none other, when you trigger the hotkey!

Just mash 1 as you're running or whatever to quickly recraft anything you need! No hassle, and your hotkey set up is saved to that inventory set you have so you don't have to swap your hotkeys around based on your equipment either!

I recall when fighting Kulve Taroth, I had the recipe to turn empty barrels into barrel bombs (Empty Barrel + Gunpowder) saved to 1, and the recipe to turn barrel bombs into mega barrel bombs (Devilsblight + Barrel Bomb) set to 2, and I'd just tap 1 twice and then 2 twice to replenish my stock of barrel bombs on the fly (items permitted, of course) in seconds.

I also had 3 set to craft more Thunder ammo, naturally. Simply mashing 3 even mid-fight would replenish my Thunder ammo stock, etc, even if I wasn't completely out of ammo - providing I had the thunderbugs for it, of course.
