lance, can't beat the ability to block and attack
I've been maining GS since freedom unite and still mained it here when I played the PS4 version. I don't really like what its become though and a bunch of other weps got cooler. Now I'm maining longsword. The addition of the foresight slash (its counter) is just so much fun to use.
Greatsword for the exact same reasons lol

Light Bow Gun, I adore the manuverability and forcing monsters to detonate my mines with their attacks. The support aspect is also fairly fun, but I don't engage in it nearly as much when I'm pugging as opposed to playing with people I know. With that said however I'm digging Hunting Horn and am currently compiling materials to make it my secondary main. *angry dooting*

Favorite weapons: Bow, Hammer, Charge Blade, Switch Axe

Weapons I've used on PC: Light Bowgun and Heavy Bowgun almost exclusively

This is the first time I've been able to play a MH game with mouse aiming, I'm not passing up the opportunity to demolish monsters with precision accuracy

Longsword because pulling off a foresight slash gives me a raging boner

Greatsword because the true charge slash gives me the same reason as above ^

Just started using the Longsword after realizing how weird DB feels if you miss an attack.

It's love at first sight already, and not because I am an anime fan, but because of that sweet Foresight slash and Helm breaker.

Swag Axe, if you wield it like a god, it just plain murders everything. O and its a freaken axe and a huge ass sword ^^ , Insect glaive is also a favorit off mine sins MHW PS4.

Discovered the Greatsword after about 120 hours on PS4. And it's the best. I've been mostly playing with the Charge Blade on this play through as I really want to like it. And I do like it now on the mouse and keyboard. But when things get rough it's back to the Greatsword. And when playing with friends I use the Greatsword to not send them flying with every swing of my Charge Blade axe.

Bow. It was cool in Dogma and it's even cooler here.

This is my first MH game and I am severely lacking experience yet, but so far I seem partial to Dual Blades, Sword and Shield, and the bow. Just exploring the bow a bit more. Also liking the Light Bowgun. Still subject to change.

So far I can't seem to warm up to the slow, methodical weapons. This is probably because of playing games with spammy combat for years and years (ARPGs, feral cat in WoW, etc). I definitely suck at MH at the moment, but I enjoy learning and improving a little every time I play.

I can recommend the LS if you want to practice with the usual MH weapons. It is a mix of both power and speed and you get the highest vertical reach, meaning good for tail cutting. It has a simple moveset to learn, but hard to master due to positioning.
Never played a MW game before, as in MHW i use Dual Blades and a Bow. Dual Blades are fast and mobile. Bow... I mean everytime i use Dragon Piercer i feel like a badass.

i started with the heavy bowgun, still use it bt not as much, i love the Gunlance.... you can build a heavy hitting tank with it, also started to grind for a support build with a light bowgun.

Dual Blades. The ability to go from blue to red sharpness in a matter of seconds is too good to ignore!
