Can't find campsite.

Sorry guys I am sure this is a dumb question but I am early in the game and am doing an expedition quest where I need to head to a new campsite but I can't find it anywhere. Where is it?

Press M, see if there a red marking on the map

i'm pretty sure you can just press your map key and it will so where it's supposed to be. Maybe not, i can't really remember.

Just wonder around a little. There is no time limit so you wont be punished for poking around. When you get close youre fireflies will swirl up and lead you to it. ^^

If you're in Ancient Forest, it'll be North, North-West-ish.

If you take too long, a character will gently tell you that they've found it, and Scout flies will lead you there. :)

sorry guys I think it was a bug. I did go to the guy in the forest but he said nothing. I restarted the game and restarted the quest and yea he immediately told me this time to climb up to the site. UGH. I wasted so mcuh time wandering around.

ugh. Now I continued the mission and killed the Kulu Ya Ku, and it says I need to go back to Astera. But there is no checkpoint marker or anything. Oh man. If I exit out I will lose my progress.

I believe that's your cue to switch to the World Map instead.

Theres an option to return from quest and another for abandon, choose the return option and you keep any items and research you got during your outing.
