Friend is in my Session, but unable to join my expedition?

I am really confused about how we can do anything to gether, but for two days we have attempted to join one another to no avail. This is not an connectivity issue but rather us having no clue how to join one another either for a quest, ( we are at the exact same place in the game) or just for an expedition. Please, and thank you in advance, what are the steps we need to take to join one another for a quest?... For an expedition? I am not even sure we are entering the game correctly, as I am creating a session, and they log in and join it. We are clearly in the same session, but again they are unable to join me in any type of hunt, and my invite friend area is always greyd out. Again, thank you for any help.

You have to fire an SOS flare for an expedition.

Quests are joined from the quest board. After completing a quest together, you can opt to enter an expedition together. Your friend can't join an expedition already in progress without an SoS flare, though.

only way to join an expedition is an SOS. Excluding the scenario TVMan mentioned.

Best thing to do is do an optional quest and then just return to camp afterwards. You can't start expeditions with friends.

You can't join someone elses expeditions without use of an SOS flare. YOur best bet if you want to go on an expedition with a friend is to do an Investigation and either complete it or not and get what you have to done.

To join each other in a quest, one of you must post it on the bounty board or through the handler, the other person then does the same but instead of posting new, ops to join one, make sure you are in the same session first. Once you have posted it your friend should be able to see it in the joinable list. Make sure to tell your friend what kind of quest it is, investigation, assigned or optional.

If you want to test that your session is working properly, once he has joined you, both use the elevator to head up to the gathering hall. If you can see each other, your connection should be fine! I hope you end up like me and having 0 connectivity issues :D Happy hunting!
