Hmm i try it.
That the probleme is on Valve side seems more and more clear. Friendlist disconnect and connects only if MWH is played.

Tried that for the fps issues and didnt fix that or disconnects. Tho from another poat that interface can be switched back to normal in steam settings. Something about playing with a controller

Same, It seems the new friend and chat system is causing the problem. i also added -nofriendsui -udp to the launch options. I did that so i can quit getting those notifications. I did try playing the game just with the launch tags and overlay turned on but was still getting disconnects.

It seems, Steam did alot of programming changes and never told Capcom :P

WIth overlay turned off and tags in the launch options. No disconnects and annoying notifications. Its so lovely.

I did the -nofriendsui -tcp on steam shortcut, had lesser disconnects, so far played 3hrs non-stop, but gotta go to bed, so meh.

me too , -nofriendsui -tcp might fix disconnection

I did just the -nofriendsui without tcp or udp specified.

Well if this does fix it I would say it's still Capcom's fault because other Steam games don't have that issue.

So it is Capcoms fault to use as much of the steam social network (steamfriends and even steam groups) as they can and then run into trouble because Valve decided to change the Steam UI on last notice and it happens to have problem?

And did you play all the other games that have also integrated steam groups in the games UI? Most games I played just have the minimal invite friend button integrated and not even touches steam groups.

someone can print this "-nofriendsui -tcp" on the shortcut, I did not understand this part

go to your steam.exe folder, click send to desktop to make a shortcut, then go to desktop, right click > properties your steam shortcut, then in "target" box, after steam.exe paste that -nofriendsui -tcp without double quote
then run steam from that shortcut, or if you have steam opened, exit it first

Odds are it's a bug in their code with how they implented it as opposed to a straight up problem with Steam itself.

Still not sure if disabling it is actually fixing it for people or if it's just dumb luck and a placebo affect. Might not even be a problem at all. Have people tested this by re-enabling it and seeing immediate disconnects?

When steam goes offline the game disconnects you, it has nothing to do with capcom, but with steam right now. the nofriendsui tcp thing does not work because its not connect to your freinds disconnecting when you see thier game pop up as they are playing monster hunter world they were disconnected from stream, and subsiquently disconnected from the game at the same moment

I'm 100% sure this "-nofriendsui -tcp" fix is just placebo. Since I'm a SME, I know that this so called fix does not change anything. We can only wait for Valve or Capcom Network Engineers to fix this.

Not always happens, I was playing with a friend fine yesterday while steam kept saying he is relaunching mhw every minute. And same for mine where I had no problems ingame when steam was popping offline every minute.

But the problems did start after the hunt when it happened though. So once you are connected you can get dced from steam as much as you want, you will most likely stay connected, but expect trouble afterwards and best precaution is join another session first and then rejoin and repost quests seems to help as welll. But it seems hit or miss at that point.

yeah either way, it seems the issue is linked to steam itself, from my experience i have 2 monitors one with steam open and the other playing the game the moment i got the 83 error disconnect code steam flashed as offline.
