if you had an infinite supply of money, then yea. but most people don't, so the only option is to complete quests or go hunt more monsters.

No, monster hunter relies on going out there and doing things yourself. Its called monster hunter for a reason.

Yeah no. We've got a melder and investigations that can spawn lots of parts you didn't earn or don't deserve letting players buy their way into better gear would just ruin a major aspect of the game

Instead it would become all about money farming instead of monster killing, pretty much entire lobbies filled with bandit mantles killing Great Jagras etc over and over for the beautiful scales.

You'd also get some guy cheating in 999,999,999 Zenny or 9999 copies of whatever item and just trading them around for next to no money, or some bored guy with 500+ hours with more materials and money than he knows what to do with etc, if it was a public trading space thing.

It's not an MMO. There's no real supply and demand, there's nothing that is locked to one player that another player can't have, either.

that's not what i mean

for example
you hate fighting a certain monster, let's say bezelgause
but you want the armor set
so now you keep farming great jagras for easy money and use it to buy bezel mats
now you get a bezel set without fighting it even a single time
now multiply that to the whole server minus the actual hardcore players

yeah but if everyone did this then the price of the bezel mats would be astronomically high. u would have to farm great jagras 10000 times to get it.
