I give up, where is Tzitzi?
I'm on the coral highlands expedition and I have to find the Tzitzi-ya-ku. I've been searching the area for almost two hours, but all I keep finding is Paolumus and Legianas.

Look for tracks. But he generally roams around the bottom area. Close to the south-west camp.

If you're on an expedition there may be a chance he didn't appear, but if you're on a quest for him then he's definitely there. He walks in a circle around the lower areas of the map.

I find it helps if you can't find something to sometimes end and re-start the expedition. It's worked for me a couple of times.

Third time's the charm. I'll check the south-west end this time.

why do you need to be in an expedition? you can just do an optional quest to fight it

If you can see the Shalom creatures you're in the right area

Restarted the quest, walked straight that way and he showed up immediately. I don't know how that's possible, I circled the entire map multiple times and must have crossed through that zone 5 or 10 ways without finding a single footprint. This time his footprints started almost right outside the base.

quests for a monster guarantee they will show up, expeditions don't

If you struggle to find something like that again, try using the wiki which tells you the exact numbered zone of every monster.

Yeah, I know that? However, the game requires you to find that monster in an expedition, I'm pretty sure that counts as a quest. A scripted cutscene even shows up when it appears. It's odd that he wouldn't be a guaranteed spawn, regardless of what the mode is.

the map tells you which monsters are present when you start an expedition. if the monster you need to find isn't there, enter a different area, and once you land pull up your map and look again. rinse and repeat

i honestly don't remember having to look for tzitzi in an expedition, so idk

All you have to do is find the tracks. Once you level the tracks he will appear on minimap.

Again, thought the rules were different since it was a quest. Apparently not, though. I had already checked the map multiple times on both of the first two tries but thought it would still pop up somewhere since there's no indication otherwise (the quest box is still there).

I wish it was made more clear that quests don't really affect expeditions, but live and learn I guess.

DUDE! i had the same problem. I got so pissed at the game because i just kept circling the map. I had to pull up a youtube video to find where it was. And lord behold, it was at a place where bunch of small monster feasting on a carcass (forgot monster name).

honestly, compared to older MonHun games, the things World doesn't tell you about are pretty minimal. Older games are a chore to get through by comparison, and there are features you can completely miss until you've sunk a good 60 hours into the game

not trying to justify it, just saying it could be SO much worse

really though, remember my comment about map hopping if your target doesn't show up, it comes in handy for a DLC monster we'll get later

Imagine having already walked through that area and having already killed all of those small monsters multiple times, and still being lost. :steambored:

Is it going to be an expedition-only monster?
