If you're on an expedition there may be a chance he didn't appear, but if you're on a quest for him then he's definitely there. He walks in a circle around the lower areas of the map.
Restarted the quest, walked straight that way and he showed up immediately. I don't know how that's possible, I circled the entire map multiple times and must have crossed through that zone 5 or 10 ways without finding a single footprint. This time his footprints started almost right outside the base.
Yeah, I know that? However, the game requires you to find that monster in an expedition, I'm pretty sure that counts as a quest. A scripted cutscene even shows up when it appears. It's odd that he wouldn't be a guaranteed spawn, regardless of what the mode is.
i honestly don't remember having to look for tzitzi in an expedition, so idk
Again, thought the rules were different since it was a quest. Apparently not, though. I had already checked the map multiple times on both of the first two tries but thought it would still pop up somewhere since there's no indication otherwise (the quest box is still there).
I wish it was made more clear that quests don't really affect expeditions, but live and learn I guess.
not trying to justify it, just saying it could be SO much worse
really though, remember my comment about map hopping if your target doesn't show up, it comes in handy for a DLC monster we'll get later
Imagine having already walked through that area and having already killed all of those small monsters multiple times, and still being lost.
Is it going to be an expedition-only monster?
