THUNDER ELEMENT CAUSING MASSIVE FRAME DROPS
Any weapon with the Thunder element causes the frame rate to drop and lag incredibly.

It even occurs through the rendered world. If I look at a tree or a wall in the direction of a teammate across the map using the Thunder element my frames per second drops horribly.

In combat it causes such lag that my inputs are interfered with, and cannot hunt properly.

This occurs even on my:
Windows 10 1803 64bit
i7-8750H
42GB 2666Mhz RAM
GTX 1080 8GB current drivers
system

It is to the point where if I see someone with a Thunder element weapon, I leave the quest in order to get away from them pulling my performance down.

People might even begin making "NO THUNDER" rooms just so they can actually play because of this.

You bring it and you will end up playing alone. ^^

Some weapons arent as bad. Like I use Sword n shield with thunder and it really isnt bad. But if you get a bow user or a dual blade user the frames can really start dropping.

It's a problem with the actual Thunder element in the game.

It's a problem with Capcom's game, Capcom's responsibility. I'm not installing or using mods just to get the game to function as sold.

Capcom needs to fix it.

so your not looking for a solusion just a reason to be spiteful and blame people. :steamfacepalm: this is why PC gaming is dying and why there are so many Console exclusives.

Kaldaien mod can help a little with performance but is no the point of the mod for this game.
I have a 1070 and it didnt fix that problem but it helped the game to run at fullscreen.

I'm posting it Hazard so people can see that if it happens to them they aren't crazy. And modding the game is not fixing the unoptimized display and processing of the Thunder element.
And PC gaming has been around before consoles, it will never die because of the worldwide, everyday life application of the technology.

If I gained a penny every time someone said: "This is what's wrong with XX and why YY is dying" I'd have enough pennies to gift MHW to everyone on the forums.
