Hacker ruined my progression

So, after several different quest with my friends. I decided to do some S.O.S to help others, anyways long story short I have stacks of 8888 of every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ item I have and I don't know which idiot did that. Is there anyway I can discard all of that crap without having to gain money or am I just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now?

I don't know. I saw your friends post on Reddit and it's images. I have to say though, with the stack number is 8888. Which is something that FLiNG trainer does, when an option is activated any items highlighted by the mouse (when the mouse hovers over the item) will be changed to a stack of 8888.

Now I'm not definitivly claiming that this is the case as I do not have full hind sight. But I feel that it should be put out there.

It could be that you could have downloaded the trainer, activated the code and run your mouse through your inventory box.Then went on Steam in order to create an image of being a victum of a hack. If I look at the images in imgur and run my mouse through your items, there is a consistancy.

All 8888 item stacks or greater, are next to other 8888 item stacks, be it top, down, left, right, or diagnally adjacent. Disconected 8888 item stacks are also next to the borders of the box. Where the mouse can mod those stacks while skipping a few items between them.

Putting it all into a trainer program

But the only thing I know for sure that could produce 8888 stack items is FLiNG's trainer or Cheat Engine. However there is of course, now way to prove you used those.

So if your a victume, I sympathize wholeheartily. I just don't have the definative proof for either conclusion.

If each character uses the same memory addresses to some extent, thats when one persons cheats can affect others.

This has been going on with the Borderlands games for years, its nothing new.

As long as there is a host PC that people have to connect to for co-op and such the Host has access to some of the other players character information, chances are it may be possible to affect other players.

8888 to be exact, you have to have the item before hand too and hover over it. FLiNG's trainer also does have a null item requierment. So it would be up to the user to choose what they want. make an exsisting item 8888, or just null all requierments.
