With insect glaive, do not underestimate your kinsect. Definitely do your best to raise all of them to give yourself options. Their powders are great at giving various blights to monsters, and you can change their elements easy enough with some materials. I've also had several instances of the kinsect breaking parts, severing tails, and even just straight killing monsters.
That being said late game multiplayer everytime i mount a monster someone instantly flashes the monster so im sitting here like "dude this monster has been flying for the past 5 mins and u didnt flash it once till i mounted it"
^ ya I think this. stack some weakness exploit, and critical boost/critical eye if you can.
Grandcathar III is the best healing kinsect, Pseudocath III is the best offensive kinsect.
The best all around insect glaives are Catastrophe's Light and Diablos, and for elemental you want to use Kirin for thunder, Rathalos for Fire, Kushala for ice, Jyura for water, Catastrophe's Light for dragon, and Dodogama for blast.
At least as many as you can fit in. With blights like poison, paralysis, bleed, sleep, blast, the monster eventually builds up a tolerance to it and eventually it won't work as well. Elements are thunder, water, fire, dragon, and ice. Taking advantage of those is crucial late game.
