best set against nerg

Whats the best set against nergigante? Im already HR 13 and for the love of god i cant get past him. Currently playing, dual blades, longsword and switch axe. Whats the best upgrade i can get against nergboy

Thunder's his weakness. Get a full defensive set until you figure out his attack pattern and habits. Learning is the key.

The weapon you can use the best, stick to his legs when learning him and just sheathe and avoid him when all of his spikes turn black. That means he is going to divebomb. I start to be cautious when half of his spikes are black.

The easy way: Get a tobi bow, some lightning bonus and grab constitution 3 and the vitality cloak. Continue to dash him to death. Ez game Ez life.

On a serious note, consider calling in a friend or two. Mounting nergi eliminates him from doing many things. Flash pods might also help if you're really struggling to avoid his dives, but it will allow him to cover his spikes again. Always hit his white spikes when they're exposed.

if you using dual blade can do the spinning move, from head to back, back to head.
sometime it will confuse it, and its attack will miss

I used the paralysis SnS from Great Girros. For my armor, I used Odogaron B set with Strategist Spectacles. No particular reason why I chose the Odogaron set other than the fact that I like how it looks.

Thanks ill keep that in mind, the only reason i keep dying is that divebomb or the attack when he stuns you and finishes you off right after

Whatever set you're good at the break his spikes so doesn't kill bomb you

Go down the thunder tree in whatever your favorite weapon is, make sure you have +50 hp from food or pot, and get away from him when his spikes are all black. He will start to spam divebomb in the final room. Any time he goes airborne run away like hell and/or use a vitality mantle.

Also, if divebomb still kills you from 100% with the extra hp, your armor is too outdated. Upgrade or make some new ones. Divebomb should only take about 80% of your hp bar when buffed.

Also Also, you can't capture him (or any other elder dragon), but you can put a few bombs down in front of him when hes sleeping to do a ton of damage before waking him up.

Doesn't matter, just upgrade it. I used moslty Bone armor with Kulu hat.

and ready some item like max potion, demondrug, armorskin, flashpod, ready some honey and potion just in case your hi-potion runs out.

If stunned, you can call your palico to knock you (sometime it wont, you need give signal to them) and give you i-frame and wake you up

There are many ways to bring down the little sucker
you can use a uragaan armor because of its partsbreaker skill and build a normal iron hammer for an easy beginners build

Than keep focusing on hitting his head or parts of the bodies covered with spikes, because this will stunlock him, when you break the spikes or land some heavy hits to the head
don't miss the jump atck of the hammer on slopes, which is a pretty easy way to mount the monster and do some serious dmg to him.

i had my problem to kill him with ls too so i switched to hammer

youtube is your best friend to learn about the right usage of weapons
yeah i know they use lots of late game items like the mantle or the kirin db but you can learn from his behavior

Just sleep bomb it with lbg for like 3-4 times den swap to something with a shield *ahem* "Lance" for some easy solo
