Any good Xeno'jiivia gear?
Just beat the game and farming Xeno and was wondering if any of the weapons are any good. Been using CB whole time so wanna start using something else but not sure

This is bad, that's mediocre, blah blah blah blah. Honestly its hunters choice, In the end the monster is going to die one way or another. If your an elitist and just want to get it done there are better choices. If your into the fun factor, Xeno is a super flexible choice in the weapons department and the armor can be theory crafted into some great mixed builds. As long as you don't get stuck and zombie off into the "Everyone uses this" builds, the theorycrafting is pretty much endless. A lot of my personal builds include at least 1 piece of xeno and as for the weapons, there are a few critical element builds I use with the weapons.

Set bonus as they said, really only applies to bowgun options since its a lot more useful there. Once you get a Sharp jewel, the razor sharp option goes out the window.

Good hunting hunter!

Xeno is for BOWGUN weapons class and poormans db and ls armor? Head hand feet or torso is your need to get for HG.

Oh yeah new IG players need this too till they get the protect polish along with body armor power prolonger

none of the weapons from xenojiiva right now are top tier, they do get natural white sharpness though if that's something you wanna play around with, personally I'd save the xeno mats for when lunastra comes out (the lunastra+xeno weapons are pretty good)

When do they plan on releasing Lunastra?

Xeno SnS seems better than Nerg and Jho.

Xeno armor is really there just for Clust builds due to the the set bonus.

Otherwise, the armor is fairly meh unless you want a level of flinch free but have no other way to get it. In terms of the weapons, I’d say wait till the Luna/Xeno mix.

Not really. Neg and Jho are for raw damage builds. If you want a crit element dragon SnS, I would go for Dragon Bone. Slightly lower raw that Xeno and it only goes to blue sharpness but it has insanely high dragon damage. Xeno weapons are well rounded weapons but that ultimately leads them to being nothing more than mediocre. They do offer great flexibility with those two level 3 decoration slots.

Well soloing TDaora with Xeno HH is the way to go, asides that I dont see why you should get them except for the looks. Like if only you can transmog weapons

Xeno's set were mainly used for its "extra ammo" skill bonus, which is somewhat fundemental for any long ranged weapon.

Other than that there's not much point using Xeno. It's better to stick with more practical skills such as maximum health, handiness or earplugs if you just want an armor set for general usage.

IG can use Teostra for the Blast bonus and Sharpness protection

It's an awesome armor set for Palico. Especially if you want to do the AFK Palico build.

I've yet to really see a it for the hunter builds other than Cluster Spam

Xeno Cluster is love... 😍😍😍

coming from a bow main? only useful stuff out of a Xeno for me were his vambraces, useful for setting up x3 mushroom gems. other than that... well, you need xeno veil for vaal bow. that's about it.

The armor is okay for grabbing one level of flinch free.

It good for HBG & LBG build because you have change to fire bullet for free(25% of free fire if I remember correctly)

Armour's pretty good for auxiliary skills (Power Prolonger, Flinch Free, Blight Resistance), lots of deco slots, and a neat set bonus (especially for bowguns, but I find it handy for melee as well).

Weapons are generally meh, only standout from memory is the hunting horn, which has Negate All Wind Pressure, ontop of a pretty good range of other songs.
