Well if you use the Bow, they're useful. Being able to bring a monster's 3 star weakness to a status at the cost of 1 gem slot can be worthwhile.

If i ever catch you in my game using poison coating you will be kicked...

not only poison is ♥♥♥♥ but you hit less with status coating on than without any.

Poison coating is crap but being able to get sleep or para on a bow that normally doesn't is quite nice.

these are drop rates for jewels.

Poisoncoat got highest drop rate among rarity 6 coupled with resistor, steadfast and few others.

I just dump them all into melding pot and I got an attack gem after 9th round LOL I was hoping to get mushroom gem hahaha
I don't even care for attack gem, RNG always favor me when I don't even wanted the item in the first place
