yeh, I use fire n ice fight everything I dont really care about their elemental weakness.
The fire and ice shows that it has 240 ice and 240 blast element. Turns out each blade only has one element and therefore, the weapon in reality only has 120 ice and 120 blast.
That being said, if you looked at the big picture, the entire dual blade library has very little options regardless of ice damage, and the highest ice element for all dual blades is only 150 . Therefore the fire and ice seems to be the best choice for dual blade in terms of getting a dual blade with ice damage, for which it "trades" 30 ice element for 120 blast which is significantly better in terms of dps in my opinion.
However the most obvious trade-off for using fire and ice lies within the fact that it's a dual weapon with different elemental damage, meaning that whenever you invest into elemental damage skills you'll be only getting half of it. Whenever you're investing into ice damage skill or blast damage skill when using fire and ice, you're only getting +15 out of 30 elemental damage per skill points since only one of the blade benefits from the skill. If you're going for elemental build then fire and ice would be a really bad choice compares to other dual blades with only one element.
