G-Rank is kind of garbage
Seriously, why do people want it?
It's always balanced for multiplayer which just means it's a slog to solo.
Now that nintendo has taken multiplayer for ransom on the switch, it's near impossible to get anywhere on your own in generations ultimate unless you pay for access to multiplayer.
There's more fun things to do than spending 40 minutes soloing something like nakarkos with that fat hp pool that is being boosted for multiplayer just so you can rank up and that walking DPS check lao shan lung is something you probably can't get past solo at all.

World doesn't have those problems.
World also doesn't have nintendo paywalling the multiplayer away but that aside, if the multiplayer was gone in world, you would still have a perfectly fun to play solo game.
So why do people want the opposite of that in it?

Good stuff but people seem to mistake HP * 2.5 for challenging.
Good stuff but you seem to mistake G-Rank for HP * 2.5.

So far it has been an unflinching part of the package.

Key word there. "part" of the package. But it's not just that.

Well like I said, it sours the entire thing for me.
I would very much like a singleplayer version of it in GenU on my switch now but that hasn't existed yet and everything points towards that tradition being kept up.

Imagine having to solo multiplayer xeno jiva. Sounds like fun to you?
How about an amped up version that moves faster which only means it'll run to the other end of the room a lot more?
Do you really want to spend 40 minutes digging through that HP pool and then come back to it 3 more times to get that gem?

How about something even worse than xeno, how about nakarkos?
You wanna solo farm g-rank nakarkos?

People want more content. That's it.
And G-Rank seems to be a logical step for a lot of new content

MH World is lacking, easy, and boring. We need G-Rank for actual end game. All before G-Rank is but the tutorial.

I'll be honest - if he poses an actual threat (his current pattern is just meh, but that's also the purpose of Grank, it changes monster patterns), then yes. It'd even have the luxury of making the time limit relevant.

One of the most thrilling hunt I've had in a Monster Hunter game was against a Duranboros, back on MH3U. It took me I think about 47 or 48 mins out of the 50mins limit to slay. Whether I was undergeared for it is irrelevant - it was a fun, thrilling fight, especially with clock running and approaching the end of the allocated timer.

So no, aslong as he's posing an actual threat, I wouldn't mind a Xeno'jiva fight that lasts 50 minutes. In its current state - no, of course not. 10 mins is already kinda boring against him.

G rank allways brings better armors, better weapons, new maps and monsters... about G-rank monsters, they just take a little bit more time than your usual hunt, still pretty easy to solo.

Most bosses in dark souls don't have much health at all but are still very challenging and well done.

Ist not only silly multiplier like tempered, G-Rank actually add more mechanics and new moves to the monster.

LMAO nah it's not sounds like someone wasn't good enough to do them solo. Back in 4U there was G-rank guild quests that go up to level 140 which everyone would say was a tier above G rank and people can solo monsters in good times.

The hp pools im gen killed the game for me....

Multiplayer is dumb its not balanced...

Even setting hr caps some people have insane gear and just melt monsters online while youre still trying to gear up.

So i ruins the experience but by the time you get the gear you want youre bored of the game it takes that long.

I wouldnt mind 15m fights i mean 5 min fights are a joke. Tempered elders dying in less than 5 mins is bad for solo. So double their hp simple... 10 min fights and its fixed.

Even multi on mhw i ez mode 2.5hp should be 5x hp the monsters just get tripped and die due to all the silly damage.

They either nerf damage to half on all weapons or add more hp or armor for monsters.

Atm its too ez but gen was too tedious they need a balanced game.

Mhw is miles better than gen so too ez is better than too tedious i mean soloing dreadking was horrible and took forever

I want more monsters and areas, not just harder versions of the same ones. I'm perfectly fine with the level of challenge in the game, but MHW is my first MH game, so I don't have all the experience that makes it feel too easy like it does for some.

We're talking about dark souls or monster hunter?
Anyway, did you even tried ng+7 in any of dark souls games? Because it what it is, the same bosses, with the same moveset but with more hp.

Arch tempered monsters sucks btw.

Yeah. So many of the MHW monsters are a joke. Even three of the elder dragons are jokes (looking at kush, vaal, and xeno).
G-rank monsters, while looking like recolored versions, was more like fighting a different monster. Or at least that's what the videos and forums I've looked into keep saying. MHW is my first game in the series.
