G-Rank is kind of garbage
Seriously, why do people want it?
It's always balanced for multiplayer which just means it's a slog to solo.
Now that nintendo has taken multiplayer for ransom on the switch, it's near impossible to get anywhere on your own in generations ultimate unless you pay for access to multiplayer.
There's more fun things to do than spending 40 minutes soloing something like nakarkos with that fat hp pool that is being boosted for multiplayer just so you can rank up and that walking DPS check lao shan lung is something you probably can't get past solo at all.

World doesn't have those problems.
World also doesn't have nintendo paywalling the multiplayer away but that aside, if the multiplayer was gone in world, you would still have a perfectly fun to play solo game.
So why do people want the opposite of that in it?

Because world is to easy and I kinda wish tempereds would always be mp scaled. These 5 min fights are boring. Thats why AT are so much better imho.

There's nothing hard about healthtanks tho, it's just tedious.

What are you talking about?
All monsters are scaled to single player in MHW until at least 1 other player joins you.
What makes you believe it would be any different with g-rank?

G-rank also gave monsters new attacks, made them more aggressive, introduced new gear tier.

The closest thing to G-rank are arch-tempered monsters who have kind-of new attacks(bigger vaals breath, daora not falling down when flashed meh-ish though).

I'd love to see more and more difficult monsters, but if they can deliver it through tempered, so be it.

The fact that to date, there is no single player version of g-rank, it's hub only so that's all people have to go on when asking for it.

Deviants as a concept are pretty dope though the execution is even worse than g-rank because on top of being multiplayer only, you have to slog through 10 slightly different versions.
They should reimagine that first.

I want gold and silver raths. I want a fiery nerg. I want a paralyze vaal. I want a "cloaking" pukepuke. I want a brachydios and zinogre. I want g-rank. Its all about the OP monsters and the crazy subvariants.

On the flip side. You have a lot of the better players bored with world because you can defeat most of the monsters in this game easier solo than in MP. Not that they are much harder in MP. I don't have the console version so I wouldn't know but I hear Behemoth is the first real hard fight that's been added, and he is basically a G-Rank monster that doesn't scale down.

That thing doesn't scale?
Well that's annoying because it has a gimmick move that just autocarts the entire team so forget about trying with randoms and a DPS check that autoloses the mission if you don't slap him enough which I guess you can forget about solo?

Monsters that don't scale with single player in general are annoying, and it's frustrating to see that they're continuing the trend with this game. I would love a G-Rank that's properly balanced for solo players.

So you'd turn a 5 minute bore into a 15 minute snore-fest? Longer fight doesn't mean more fun if the monster's don't change.

If we're talking crazy then imagine something like a hydra that has more heads the more players there are and thus more attacks. Solo, 2man, 4man would all be very different fights and sure it might be easier solo but at least having more poeple changes the fight and makes it more fun plus more heads would mean more loot.

Good stuff but people seem to mistake HP * 2.5 for challenging.
Most bosses in dark souls don't have much health at all but are still very challenging and well done.
