is anyone else disappointed this isn't being released on gog?
DRM free platform, fair price gurantees. It's really the most consumer friendly platform available I'm always very happy to buy games on there. Reminder to any developers lurking to put your games on gog.

This game has Denuvo, so by GOG's standards it can't be sold there. Simple as that.

Not really. If anything, I'm disappointed in GOG. They need to step it up.

GoG takes a decade and a half to update their games, that's one issue with GoG

answer for why its not on GOG: imagine you're capcom, never released a pc MH game (other than the chinese frontier online) and want to target the most people possible in as many places as possible who would you go with? steam makes perfect sense given its popularity and user count. not to mention steam is fast becoming popular in asian countries.

Releasing on both would be the logical solution.

Releasing on GOG literally means you're giving free games to the pirates. Unless you benefit from that (free advertisement and ♥♥♥♥, which only works for some good indies and obscure games) I see absolutely no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason why I'd put a game there.

That's like one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Most people's decision on buying X game or not won't change whether it's pirated or not. Most people that are willing to buy will buy a game they like even if it's cracked. Most people that aren't willing to buy game won't buy it suddenly if it's not going to be cracked.
