I've noticed one thing while fighting the bigger monsters, and that's that I can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see where I am. I know Capcom has no intentions of adding that any time soon, so does anybody know of any mods that would add that and if I did modify the game for that reason alone would I get banned from multiplayer? Any and all responses appreciated.

You won't get banned for visual mods. Hell, there's an argument for not getting banned for blatantly cheating, but please don't do that. I'm not aware of any existing mods that add outlines to your character, but perhaps try using armor pigments to add brighter colors so you stand out more?

This isn't really helpful when the monster is literally taking up the entire camera

Which would preclude the outline in the first place, so that's kind of irrelevant. Unless you mean an outline that's visible through other textures, in which case I don't believe that's possible. But I'm also not a modder. Either way, there's no mod to my knowledge that does this.

Try setting your Camera View to Far to give yourself more wiggle room, and keep adjusting camera as you fight.

Exactly, an outline visible through other objects, I though that OP was pretty obvious about that. I've seen this done plenty of times in 3rd person games before

What's obvious to you may not be obvious to someone else, hence why I include multiple angles in my explanation. XD

It's not that I blend in with the monster It's that I actually get covered by the wing, which wouldn't be too bad an issue if I wasn't using the great sword and had to know which charge I'm on.

Also didn't read the rest of the replies, I have the camera set to far, and that in itself feels pretty close, when you're fighting the elder dragons or anything that's bigger than an actual house. Like just a basic character outline whenever something is obstructing the camera's view to the character would imo improve the experience by light years.

Best to use the sound of the charge instead of a visual indicator, from what I've been told.

I'm always listening to tunes when I play, not to mention I'd imagine all the other sounds would get in the way of it

That's a conscious choice you make. Games aren't designed with outside elements in mind. I personally have no problem following sound cues from my weapons, but YMMV.

get gud and learn to combo without looking to your character (seriously that's the best way)

EDIT: you could play scrub ranged weapons too

Isn't the cannot see where is your character when monster is front of camera part of game frustration design ?
