It shows how much that player has played with the friend(s) they have shared their guild card(s) with.
In previous games, when achieving a high rating...the guild counter would give you tickets.

So here it doesn't do anything? Its just a statistic?

In world it does nothing as far as I know. On older games, unity could be used as a currency for tickets into an special NPC.
