Is this worth it for SEA players?
I want to know where is the server for SEA is? Probably Singapore, but there are some games out there that doesn't have any SEA version.

And to those who've tried the game, how was it? Is it as good as the trailers and hype by other players?

There is no SEA server or any kind from my experience playing in 3DS. You just joined with any other player from around the world. I played with Russian, Chinese, American, British people back in MH 3DS.

It uses peer-to-peer on console with no region locking. I've never had issues with latency as an Aussie who tends to find a mix of Japanese and English players.

Oh, that's very good to hear! Thanks guys! I'm glad it's P2P.

Steamworks P2P can have serious lag issues if any of your teammate has either a weak PC or internet connection. And that's before if any one of them is located far away with an atrocious ping.

P2P traffic is throttled in most SEA countries I believe.

Yep. Peer to Peer means you connect to the host player or if you're the host player they'll connect to you.

i.e. You are the host, you probably will never experience any lag, but players who join your room from Russia, Europe, U.S., might experience lag depending on their internet. The same goes for you if you join the host and he/she is far away from you. I don't think you'll lag if the host is nearby, like in your country or nearby country, depending on where you are. There's no region-locking so anyone around the world can join you.

For locally hosted servers(P2P), Upload is more important than Download if you are the Host.
but 4Mbps is enough for Download

Thank you, that's a good news for me.

Annndd... this is a bad news for me because my upload speed is only 512 Kbps. I think its time for me to change into fiber, but the quota is limited tho, i wonder if other country also have a limited quota in their internet fiber plans.

Its a case by case basis
It depends on how much data the game uses for each connected person

But yes, that 512 could be a problem if you are Hosting, with any game really.

console games tend to have a lower tick rate compared to PC games which in consequences result in better latency hiding, given that most actions in MH kind of have some delay, you will most likely unable to tell unless your network latency is very bad.
