Tera and MH's combat is quite similar as they are both active free roam. As regards to the BAM department, that's basically all MH is about.
In MH you are dropped in a zone(Much larger areas in this game than previous)similar to Tera's and hunt a specific monster(Sometimes multiple)carve it's parts for equipment upgrades, rinse and repeat. It may sound repetitive, which it is but that's the fuel that drives the die hard MH fans. Once you get that final rare drop for that final piece of equipment you've been tirelessly pursuing it gives such a sense of achievement few games of this genre can provide. That's the MH magic.
