Is Extremoth the hardest fight to have ever existed in MH series or not? (Solo and MP)
MHW is my first in the series, so my knowledge about the previous parts is pretty poor, I'd like to know if there is anything harder.

Also, how hard is MHX? I'm probably gonna play this one quite soon.

Maybe a bit clunky, but I don't think I'm not gonna be able to play. Although I'm from 2000s, I spent most of my childhood playing old stuff. Especially Gothic II, and G2 is really clunky. :p
Old games are just much more stiff and you don't really have any control at all over direction once you start a combo. Most obvious example is with GS in World being able to adjust direction each swing building up to the TCS, in older games I'm pretty sure you're just locked into whatever direction you were originally facing. Honestly, the combat is the least of your worries, hardest part about going back for me was the old gathering system. Makes early game much slower, and I started with Tri.

Nah, I'd never say people couldn't play it. Just that the transition would be a bit rough if all you've played is World.

You can't move when using potions, right? That's what I've heard at least

Can't move and you also have to watch your character do a little flex after every consumable.

it was a glorious kind of hell... but all healing was also instant as the tradeoff rather than a slow fill. and speed eating sped up these animations.
Hm, okay. How strong and differnet is IG there? I know that LS doesn't have foresight slash and neither helmsplitter, so I'm not even gonna touch it probably...

Hyper Gold + Hyper Silver is the hardest quest solo period.
Super Deviants are either great fun or absolute aids.

Most importantly, World is easy because there's so much powercreep, World HR mix sets have more skills than GU endgame sets do, even with stuff like JhoCeana and Mantis.

Of course all difficulty is nullified by ranged or blue LS cheese, even more so in multiplayer it's just pure stunlock. The few monsters that don't get stunlocked ( EX, Event ) will just get flash/trap spammed into oblivion with 3 HBG exploiting broken mechanics.

Do you have some video link to Hyper Gold + Hyper Silver? I don't quite understand it.

I once thought Arch-Tempered Nergigante was difficult. Then a friend of mine had me fight Apex Rajang in MH4U.

*shudders*
I always laugh when folks say at nerg is the hardest fight

Aerial DB are extremely safe and strong on both of them and the player is skilled with DB, this is basically a top tier speedrun of that quest and he still takes 20 minutes.
Other weapons'll need 30+ minutes because they're always together even with dung pods, have garbage hitboxes with every move at least two shotting and stunning in two hits, only the back and broken head trigger Weakness Exploit, you'll run out of healing at some point or just triple.
If they're toghether you can't really fight because they will kill you and worst part is they never exhaust.

I know it's not the single hardest quest, and there's actually quests I hate more but this quest is borderline intentional artificial difficulty. So many cheap unavoidable deaths, even 25+ minutes in can just happen in an instant with little to no counterplay.

The fact that there is not a single western run of that quest (I couldn't find one) on youtube kinda shows how aids that quest really is.
So basically a fully RNG based quest...

Mmm. Being new to the series, I'm casual at best when it comes to this game, so yeah, AT Hedgehog was a bit of a wall for me. Him and AT Luna both.
Pretty sure Ancinet Leshen Solo and Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth Pursuit Level 1 Solo are harder than Ex behemoth Solo .

And ya , if u want more challenge .. Bring 1 fri to AT Nergi and tell him to leave the quest . Then u stuck with Multiplyer Version of this quest . Solo this , can say that harder than Exbehe .. especially when he reach lava area . No spike break stun lock to death , non stop pepega slam , real 25-30 min fight .. love this ! I can kill AT nerg within 5-6 min in solo version . Damn soloing Multiplayer Version of AT Spike Boi took me 23 mins .. still really fun fight .
