Is there an easy way to get the crown achievements?

They're the only 2 I need for 100% achievements.
I'm put off getting them though because it seems like an rng grind

Special event quests have incresed chances for crown worthy monsters. These quests have a comeback with the spring event starting next week.

Theres event quests that have musical names to them that increase the chance for crowns for all monsters except black blos and elders, those are RNG grinds. You do not need Kulve, Xeno, Luna, Jho, Behemoth or Leshen for these achievements either.

Certain events are used specifically for getting mini and mega crowns. I'd keep an eye out for them. With the spring blossom festival around the corner, I'd expect at least a few of them to be returning.

If ya don't wanna wait for those quests, it's unfortunately just an RNGfest. Good luck nonetheless.

The ancient forest quest is out right now, I"m trying to get a Rath crown but 25 runs in and not a single one yet. Its RNG no matter what you do I think

Why not go all the way and just unlock the achievement with a third party program?

I was in the same situation. I needed a big kirin for my last achievement and the fight is not very interesting so I forced myself to do one kirin a day XD
During my hunt, I found a reddit post about monster size and investigations.
I think you don't have to force yourself to hunt the same monster, it comes when you less expect it :)

No, none of the post-launch monsters count.
