How do events work?
I decided to finally get this game and two crosssover events I'm interested in are happening very soon in may, do i need to get to a specific level to partecipate or can I try to get the crossover items even as a fresh new player?

You need for crossover events, as for any other event, a certain Hunterrank (HR).
The HR for the Final Fantasy crossover-event is HR 50 I think, which is more or less endgame already. So no, you wont be able to play the crossover events as a new player; sadly.

The Normal Behemoth questline (aka dlc story) is HR16 but to be honest, you lock yourself into a endless hell of final fantasy music, if you dont get carried

HR50 is his tempered event only version ^^

The dlc story version of the Witcher Event should also be for HR16,
Ancient Leshen the Event only was also HR50 iirc

Btw are the story version of Witcher and Final Fantasy permantly in game, only their harder Event versions are time limited.

Adding to the info above, all events are basically cyclical, meaning if you miss one, it'll come back around eventually as a new batch is brought in every week.

Besides that, you have the festivals (like the one going now) that brings back all previous events at the same time! These are usually seasonal, meaning no matter what event you are looking for, you can always expect it in the festivals that happen around every 3 months.

Oh, so basically nothing ever really goes away forever in this game, good to know. Thanks.

Weren't the Street Fighter and Horizon: Zero Dawn events supposed to be on this spring event? I don't see them in the event missions list.

Street fighter: look like Capcom being ♥♥♥♥ on this one
Horizon: it's ps4 exclusive game so it's exclusive collaboration for them

PC doesnt have Zero Dawn, cause PS4 exclusive
And Street Fighter Event is also on Console only yet,

When I googled the event the other day, the result mentioned they would be there. I guess they were wrong. Maybe it was this one:

Still, looks like there are lots of missions to do.
