Mod that could detect instant damage cheaters

So today I went on an extremoth run with a friend who had a mod installed that lets you see how much damage each players are dealing and realised that this mod is so damn useful to detect high damage cheaters. I called in sos and 2 other randoms joined in.

At the end of phase one, as always extremoth drops the one hit meteor, I saw that one guy standing out in the open as that meteor come crashing down. He did not even use the jump emote to dodge but somehow he survive. He wasnt behind a comet as well so I thought maybe he is laggy.

Phase 2 started and the instant it started, it ended in a blink of an eye which is not even remotely possible. Thanks to my partner's mod, turns out that one random actually dealt 26k damage in one hit. Wow that spells cheating and again, he is out in the open not behind a coment did not use jump and survive the meteor. Phase 3 ended quickly as well. Finally phase 4 is where I see it with my own eyes. That random did not dodge, did not have temporal on but somehow did not take a single hit from extremoth spin attack and the normal meteor drop. I was gonna intentionally get myself carted cause this hunt is practically ruined. We did not win but I dont mind not winning a hunt with a cheater.

I dont know what this mod is that lets you see how much damage your team is dealing but this really shows how useful this mod actually is to find out who is cheating in terms of doing damage.

temporal wouldn't protect you from the meteor either. he was 100% using cheats and you should block all communication and report and give me his name so I can also block the ♥♥♥♥ :)

Unfortunately there are a lot of people using damage cheats. You can usually tell someone is even if you can't tell who. I really wish people would stop using them in public games, but kids will be kids I suppose. But yes, I really think they should have implemented an anti-cheat system for public games. I don't care what people do in private but public games they shouldn't cheat.

the problem is capcom would have to redesign the entirety of the community system to not use steam at all for any of its networking and match making, create a public master profile that all the clients must abide by (meaning no mods of any kind, even simple QoL mods would get disabled. Special K included), and then a seprate profile for private and friends only games.

this would be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and a half to maintain and patch holes the cheaters enevitably find to abuse. your best bet, is play with people you know for the challenging quests, there will always be someone cheating the most difficult quests that require teamwork totally feeling justified in their reasoning. there is no shaming to sway their minds it only makes them more empowered.

the simple fix here is, if you end up in a room with a cheater, leave his quest ASAP, leave his session ASAP, and say nothing.

So your friend was cheating as well by using a mod that doesn't come with the base game so why didn't you leave then? Just play on PS4 where people can't cheat.

Similarly, I was on AT Xeno with a bow when he first came out and noticed a switch axe guy outdoing me significantly. I thought to myself that it might be feasible; I've used a switch axe a lot in the past, but I was never very good with it, and I know it has good damage output when used right. But as it turned out, a little observation proved that he had unlimited sword mode at the very least, possibly also taking no hits without a mantle. 9_9 Why even play the game at that point?

Well, you don't really need a mod to understand this is a cheat. People are also cheating with ailments, but i guess people don't usually see that as well.
It's whatever to be honest, i just don't understand why those people fire a sos, it doesn't make sense.

Gae is or was the best ig for aerial. I'm not sure because i don't know about the kjaar weapons, but since kjaar weapons theme are crit ele i doubt any other can outdamage gae on air.

For dragon, Kjarr Glaive Decay is better than Gae Bolg since it has better dragon, sharpness and doesn't look ugly as hell. It is the worst of the Kjarr IGs tho since nothing is weak to Dragon and it also has 170 or so base raw.

All Kjarr IGs should be better than Gae Blog in their respective elemental matchup when using aerial, but again if you're using aerial you might get outdamaged by your cat or some rare 4 LR IG on the ground.

My thoughts exactly, You can't do anything about it other then kicking them from your quest. Blocking comunications or reporting on steam doesnt help too, since is Capcom who handles the servers not Valve.

You already answered your question. Knowing someone is cheating is enough to kick or leave their sessions, also knowing who they are you can avoid accepting them into your huntings or joining their sos. For me, it seems to be a good enough reason.

i seriously think you should get a day ban, all you do is preach PS4 superiority when it isnt true, its an obvious troll. trolling might not be against steam TOS, but being bad at it should be.
